38 Meaningful Worship Songs for Lent

Lent
Lent is a blessed time to think about Jesus and His marvelous work of salvation. It’s good to set aside a season in the church calendar to reflect on the price of our sin and the outrageous grace with which Christ saves us still! It’s also a time to consider our response to our God and renew our commitment to Him. During church services in this season, appropriate worship songs can help us in our reflections.

Here are 38 usable worship songs for Lent that I can think of (in no particular order):

“Mark [Jesus'] reply. It contains justice, clemency, and truth in full measure. Let the sinner be punished, yes but not by sinners. This, unquestionably, is the voice of justice, justice that pierced those men like a javelin. Looking into themselves, they realized their guilt, and one by one they all went out. Two remained behind: the miserable woman, and mercy.” – St. Augustine (Homilies on the Gospel of John 8:1-11)
